We tow with a cover as we got a chipped window, bit late after the event but don’t want it to happen again. It’s great to arrive at site with clean front windows, no dead flies!
------------- Started with a motorbike and tent.......my gallery, my life.
We use a towing front cover, in wet weather it's surprising how much muck flies up off the wheels onto it. Also have a storage cover even stored indoors, just to keep dust and bird muck off it.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We use a towing cover, friends of ours returned from a trip with a carabiner embedded in his locker box, can only think that it flipped up from the back wheel of the car, that was a costly repair that could have been avoided with a cover in place.
Also the cleanliness of the van on arrival is an added bonus.
The thought of even more work when going away and when arriving on site just put some me off completely . Also something else to store when on site or at home . Along with awnings etc . I have been caravanning for a long time and find it easier to just wash the front of van or windows if needed when we arrive or even the next day .
As for a cover we had one with one of our vans when we removed this in the spring the van felt damp and had a cover of white powder like mildew .
Yes it was a specially made breathable one . I never used it again .
But have thought maybe try one of the cheaper ones just for the winter as the fine powdery snow that we had this year came in through the vents around my roof window in end toilet . But this was a one off I hope .
Thought about a towing cover also, but that’s as far as I got. At the end of the day a couple of minutes washes down the front of the caravan after it was set up
However the cover will protect the van from stone chips.
I was the same, the cleaning never bothered me, but a cracked front panel or window certainly would.
Wonder what the OP has taken away from this.
------------- XVI yes?
