Our new Ford Kuga tow car finally arrived last Wednesday.

It's fitted with a swan neck foldaway tow bar...

You press a button twice in the boot releasing it, and all you have to do is grab it and pull to finish clicking it into the locked position...

But reading online it's nose weight limit says it's 100kgs!???

Is that right?

Seems quite high I think for being a non fixed tow bar....?

Or is it just me being a 'bit out of date'...???

This appears to be correct. Early Kugas had 100Kg or 105Kg, which reduced to 85 but has now been increased on new models.

Yes it is right, the Ford Kuga does have a noseweight limit of 105 kgs. as my brother has just bought one recently and decided to checked it out just to see what the figure was. However, the maximum weight for an Al-ko stabiliser is 100 kgs. anyway so this shouldn't be exceeded so I would aim for a noseweight of around 90 kgs. which should be quite adequate for towing stability.

I have a new model 2:0 180 Titanium Auto, I also stick to 90kg.

Tows like a dream too. 👍😀
