Hello,

I've recently changed from my trusty Mondeo with a normal Towbar to a new Swan neck...

Now I have a Swift Classic Duette and have been looking at getting an adapter for my existing Stabiliser bar.

Found this one, but seems way to high!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWAN-NECK-NEW-CARAVAN-SNAKEMASTER-STABILISER-ORIGINAL-CAR-PLATE-BRACKET/232418659124?hash=item361d3b4b34:g:SpAAAOSwFXNZccNY

any help would be appreciated if anyone knows of a place I have maybe overlooked? or if you have any advice on the stabilisers?

Thanks

Sam

Here is the link to the bracket.

Link

Why is it too high?
It's not a fixed bracket as the bolts in the bottom bracket can be removed so can be adjusted to accommodate the stabiser in any position you want. Just remove the bottom bracket with the 4 bolts, fit the part attached to the towball first then fix the second part as required by moving the bracket to align up with series of holes. Job done.

Sorry, First time posting.

I meant the price seems very high over £200?

I found an identical bracket at £40 so you were right, the original post was severely over priced.

Its because the seller doesn't have one in stock. Instead of pulling the listing they change the price which helps them stay high on the ebay searches.

On the listing page it says 3 available and 24 sold. If you click the 24 sold you will see they were sold at £49.95.

Hi Sam, I had a blade type stabiliser clamp on a swan neck towball and could not prevent it twisting however tight the clamping bolts were tightened. You would be far better off putting your money towards an Alko type hitch coupling often sold secondhand on certain web sites.
I did and have not regretted it.

John.

Yes you were right as I have received an e-mail today that the seller has now reduced the item by £200 so they must have them in stock again.

To the OP: Did you manage to obtain the bracket you were asking about in your first post?

You need to be careful when looking at prices on websites. I have just bought an Al-ko tow ball (mentioned in another thread).
One site wanted over £41 for it.
Al-ko on line price was £39.95 incl. delivery - cover for tow ball was included.
Witter price for Al-ko manufactured tow ball was £22.50 incl. delivery.
And some of the (shall we say rip-off?) websites set their address so as to be at the top of the list which appears on screen.
Bertie.
