I own a 1991 Castleton HL Roamer SD which I purchased as a project and have restored. I would like to add a motor mover to assist aging joints and muscles and wonder if this is possible as,although the towing hitch ; axle and corner legs are all Al-ko, the chassis is made by Ashwood Developments Ltd. Rochdale and made from aluminium alloy..The caravan has a running mass of 820 kg and a max allowable weight of 1050 kg.
I had assumed, because of the non standard chassis, that fitting an mounted mover was not possible but I did recently see an for advertisement on ebay for a Castleton of similar vintage with a motor mover fitted.
I would be very grateful if you could advise me and point me in the eight direction.
Thank you - Christopher Allam
