We had a 2011 Santa Fe and found the rear suspension very low when fully loaded with grandchidren and caravan. Fitted the springs, easy DIY job, and the ride height was greatly improved with and without being loaded. I would recommend the springs if you are are suffering any issues with soft suspension or low ride height under load. We now have a 2017 Santa Fe and currently do not have any issues as with the previous car, should they again occur, I would not hesitate in fitting the springs.
Most cars wont need them, maybe the 7 seater versions if you stick a lot of weight at the back.
Before you jumt to fitting additional springs you should check the fully loaded rear axle weight. It could be that your putting too much weight at the rear.
The weight soon adds up, I wanted to take the FILs scooter away with us. Thinking we had a 500kg payload no problem.
But getting the calculator out and adding up the weight of 5 adults and luggage the scooter would have put us over the limit.
We had a Saab 99 many years ago, which was fitted with them. It towed really well with little rear end sag.
Without a van good too.
It already had the towbar and extra springs fitted when we bought it.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Some cars have inherently soft suspension and need some form of `aid` when laden and with a caravan in tow.
I used MAD springs on an MG Maestro (which had stiff suspension anyway, but still improved with them on - brilliant tow car!), and Peugeot 405`s and 406`s which definitely needed them.
Fitted them to a Peugeot 405 many years ago and they did the job. Car rode a little higher when not towing but it seemed not to affect the road holding.
it greatly improved the rear end sag but did make the ride a little more harsh. apparently Mitsubishi fit them to vehicles they supply to the power distribution companies that will tow trailers.
it actually lifted the rear end so it looked correct.

Bigles what did you decide, to fit or not to fit, it would be good to get some feedback.

Keep everyone updated after your first tow, now you have them fitted.
