When asking a question i often pop a "thanks in advance" line at the bottom just in case its something i forget to respond back to later on.
I moderate other forums and a new member on one of them has contacted me to remove all their posts because they didnt get a perfect answer without them doing a bit of work themselves.
Its motoring one and suspicions are they simply have a flat battery, their reply is the radio works. When told they need to test the voltage because a radio will work down below 8 volts where the starter motor needs 1 solid 12v ish whe cranking the engine, they had a strop and cannot but a sub £5 meter to test the voltage.
So now they want all their posts removed and account closed.
Its rare but there are a few that get the answer they want and then wish to delete the posts, thats just rude because it may help someone else with the same issue and it doesnt waste peoples times answering the same question over and over.
Im certainly old school, if your kids are being naughty i will speak up and tell them off.
Yep, it can be a tad frustrating to say the least but I look on it another way, perhaps someone else may glean some insight from your post so all is not lost.
I'm a great believer in Carma, what goes around comes around so helping someone in need is never a bad thing.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Not just “Thank You”. It would be nice if when people have asked a question they posted to say what happened in the end/how they solved the problem as often it would be useful to others. I also wish people would use the search button or read previous posts. On another forum I belong to you can guarantee to get the same question asked pretty much every
week
The way of the world, I'm afraid. Doesn't end with failure to say please or thank you. How many times have you followed someone through a self-closing door, only for the person in front to let it go in your face? Too much trouble to quickly glance back to see if someone is following.
And how many times have you found yourself struggling to get off a bus because people waiting at the stop surge forward to get on immediately the doors open?
Bertie.

They are a big box that you wait ages for, then three come along together!
Bertie.
Ahh yes ive heard tales of those, seems you stand by a lonely metal stick, if your lucky one will stop and take you somewhere. Not sure if they really exist though?
On a car forum 5 people have asked for the wiring colours to fit a towbar, no replies so far. Threads are upto 3 years old and nobody has posted the colours.
Did they all give up at the thought of fitting a towbar or just didnt want to share information they found out but wanted others to share.
