Hi, Iam trying to help a friend who has brought 2015 Isuzu Blade Dmax, with towbar already fitted. However when solo all lights work ok but connect to trailer one indicator doesn't flash but stays on, then comes on whist driving without being switched on. I suspect it's towing relay or does anyone know if car has to be programmed for tow wiring. I go away on Friday so will not be able to look at it with him till get back. Just trying to give him some idea mean time. Thanks

Dedicated plug in loom or a bypass relay?

How is it wired?

When you say the indicator stays on is that the car as well as the trailer or just the trailer light?

Dodgy connection most likely.

Hi, thanks for reply, not looked at wiring with him yet all fitted when he bought it. Vehicle lights work ok. Switch on RH trailer indicator it comes on doesn't flash but is bright. Then whilst towing will come on without being switched on. So Iam thinking flashing must be controlled by tow relay which could be faulty. He will have to wait till I get back off my trip. Meanwhile told him to try someone else,s trailer to see if its the same

All sorted now short in trailer lamp between stoplamp wire and indicator. Thanks
