We've been looking at Motorhomes over the last few months and we are starting to look at caravans again due to the cost.
Has anyone towed with an Audi A6 Allroad. I am not expecting any issues with power and know the weight numbers but every now and again you get a car which should be a good tower and they are not. Just wondering, cheers.
I've had three A6 Avants but not the Allroad. Didn't find any issues to worry about towing wise BUT if you're thinking about a Euro 6 diesel ask a few questions about the AdBlue system - some of the early ones an issue with the system. Mine was checked over and pronounce ok but failed 2k miles later and had the system replaced under warranty in France. I would still have one but decided on a change - now got a Q5.
Yes I tow with a A6 Allroader 3lr 272 HP dsg. I tow a sprite laden weight 1451 kgs.
Tows very well, fuel consumption Varys between 25 to 30 mpg when towing.
Fuel consumption round about town approximately 30mpg ,on a long run I have managed 49. Hopefully this will improve as the car has only covered 2500 miles.
Thanks all, sorry but I already have the car so just a case of deciding on the van now. Pathefinder thanks for the feedback. I have the same car. Get 30/34 around town once it's warmed up. Best I have had on the Mway is 45mpg, but that was on cruise control at 70 for 2 hours - very boring. I've done 32k and mpg does improve a bit from when it was new
