Hi folks. We are considering venturing to Angelsey for the first time later this month and would like recommendations for a good route that doesn't involve very steep Hills !! . We have a large petrol 4X4 which pulls like a train even on hills...but slowly due to gearing and lack of torque ( pity its not a diesel )

We will be travelling from Yorkshire so will be on the M62 until we hit Manchester....Its the route once we get into Wales we are concerned about as the last time we went was to Prestatyn in a static in the late 80's and the only big hill was the speed ramps on the site :)

M56 from Manchester to Wales then A55 coast road across the top of Wales to Anglesey. Lovely road. The only hill you’ll have is at Ruallt on the way back - long and steep - but the rest of it is fine.

Just come back from Anglesey yesterday, as others have said you will be fine, although we a warwickshire we use m6, m56 & a55 no problem at all apart from 50 mph on the m6 in places
