Single 7 pin electrics will only function the trailer lights and nothing else. If you want the function to charge the caravan leisure battery whilst in tow and operate the fridge on 12 volt power then you will need the 7 pin grey socket added to the existing black one. If that is the case then you would be better having the modern 13 pin electrics fitted to the car in replacement of the 7 pin black socket.
Regarding the bumper plate, you can only fix one to a fixed towball which is bolted on between the towball and towbar flange but not possible with either a swan neck or detachable towball.
