Theres loads of stuff on the Ford Kuga Owners Club site, including a towing section.
I don't know how the Kuga compares with other vehicles for towing, but from my own experience they would have be something really exceptional to beat a Kuga. I have the 2 litre diesel 150HP manual 2 wheel drive, I am really very pleased with it all round, including the economy of it from the MPG to the independent servicing. I could ramble on all day about how much I like it.
Thanks for the replies, I have purchased it and it is getting delivered tomorrow, when I went to view it was far better than I was expecting and my expectations were already high, really good smooth refined drive, Taxed it , insured it just need to take delivery at 4.oclock tomorrow.
thanks, Terry.
Hi Terry
Just been trawling through my old posts & came across this one,
if you purchased the Kuga you will have had it for 6 months now,
What do you think of it has it lived up to your expectations, plus how did you find it towing.
Look forward to hearing from you
Graham
Hi Graham, Yes I bought it and have been highly delighted with it, it has certainly lived up to my expectations. I find it tows very well and oh so smooth, when accelerating from a standing start it doesn't feel like there is a caravan on the back. The fuel economy is good considering the size of the car with a 2.0 AWD 180 bhp. My caravan is about the same size and weight as yours and it handles it better than my previous car which was a great tow car.
I wanted to renew my van that I use for my business and because I like the Kuga so much I bought a Ford Transit Connect also with all the gadgets in so although I have never been a fan of fords I suppose I am now converted and would certainly have another.
Hi Terry
Pleased to hear the cars lived up to your expectations,I've had mine about 4 years now & still happy with its performance & towing capability,be a few years until Im in a position to change it but wouldn't hesitate to get another one (must admit I've been eyeing up the Ford Edge it all depends on my finances when I retire)
Regards Graham
