I've just changed my tow car and now have a retractable swan neck tower. This means that I can no longer use my trusty blade tyre stabiliser.
I'm assuming the only option I have is an Alko 2004 / 3004 or similar stabiliser. The can is a 2002 Fleetwood Rahpsody - any issues fitting one to a van of this vintage? Any advice gratefully received.
I changed the hitch head on a 2000 Elddis from a BPW to an Alko I did this some years ago, from memory there is certain hitches that cant accept the Alko, go on alkos website you can download fitting instructions which will explain, its something to do with braking system.
hope this helps
I have the fitting instructions in PDF for the AKS 3004. I could email them to you, I have had a look on Alkos website its not an easy website to navagate
I managed to find the fitting instructions but thanks for the offer.
it looks a though I need to do some research. I think my 2002 Fleetwood has a BPW chassis and it does state that the Alko is not compatible with 2001 on BPW chassis with a gas strut handbrake.
