I have a Golf Plus 1.9 Diesel Automatic. I've just bought a combi camp trailer tent. They're very lightweight. I haven't picked it up yet, but am I right in that a trailer that light, that it doesn't need brakes, would be fine to be towed with a 1.9 Diesel? The auto gearbox can be switched to manual... Would it be better to tow with it in manual?
It's been many years since I towed anything.
