Hi all, help needed, due to ill health my father has had to stop caravaning and I have purchased his car for us to use as a towcar. It is fitted with a Vauxhall detachable towbar and my father can't remember much about it now, as I have never had a detachable towbar fitted before I want to make sure that the detachable section is fitted correctly?
Please see attached picture, any help or advice would be appreciated.

I would say no not fitted till it shows green in the section where you can see most red ,then it locks into place

As John has said, I would say it isn’t located properly, used to have the same issue with my last towbar, this was caused due to not having a dust cover which allowed mud etc to gather in the opening where the towbar should sit

Thanks for the help guys, literally just managed to get it off the car, will clean it all up and fingers crossed it will be working.
