Bought a pair of these from a seller on guntree, everthing about them works......
Tried to test fit them onto our current car, Citroen DS3, just to make sure I knew how to attach them - no probs in working that out.
However, it was obvious that the prongs that sit in the bonnet / wing gap seem to be pretty large and do not push into the gap very easily.
We pick our tow car up tomorrow, Ford Kuga, am I likely to have the same problem? Are these mirrors now defunct for that reason? (as don't see too many on the roads anymore). Or do you really just have to force them in for what would be a SUPER snug fit?
Or should I use the rubber strap style towing mirrors?
Hi Mark,
Personally I wouldn't use this type for fear of damaging the cars bodywork.
They are quite expensive, but we use the Milenco grand aero ones - mirrors
They fit well to the wing mirrors and don't seem to move around much.
The price is not that bad compared to being pulled over for not having them on as police seem to be cracking down on such things at the moment with a lot of new caravanners on the road.
UK regs require that all rear view mirrors must be adjustable from the drivers seat and if struck return to their original position. They must not extend more than 12cm than the width of the caravan.

Get them back on Guntree and get a set of Milenco’s.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I seem to remember these from the days before cars had door mirrors. They had wing mirrors a long way forward on the car often fitted as an after market accessory to make the car look flash.

Saxo where does it state that on the government website. Lots of cars don't have electric windows so you can't adjust them from the drivers seat especially when driving.
