Am I legal to tow if my kuga has a gross weight of 2250 and a caravan with an mtplm of 1250kg taking me to the 3500 kg max with license sorry if a daft question but thinking of buying a caravan for first time thanks rob

You can tow with a B licence up to and including a combination totalling 3500kg maximum.
If you passed your test before 1997 the max is 8250kg.

Yes you can tow that. The law states that the maximum combined weights of the towing vehicle and trailer cannot exceed 3500 kg.

Just to add to what Martin has said - the maximum permissible weights of the car and trailer combined cannot exceed 3500kg. It's irrelevant if the actual weights are less.
