Thanks for the reply, LlaniDavis,and yes it would have been useful! It’s a 2015 Škoda Yeti outdoor 4x4 2.0 140hp, with one of the last Euro5 EA189 engines. The tow bar was as supplied when new, and worked well with our last caravan, a simpler Venus. We’ve had a series of issues with the Swift, including fridge trouble, battery issues (I think that was motor mover being left on) and now no fridge in transit through pin 10 not working.
I've been looking around the websites, including Briskoda and Caravan Chronicles, and found myself going round in circles. I’m now wondering whether the issues are all part of the smart alternator problem reported on some Euro6 engines, where the leisure battery feeds back to the car. I’m otherwise very happy with the present setup, but doubts creep in. Would a B2B unit help?
