I used to tow a similar van with a BMW 320 diesel back in 200-2004. No problems towing at all, except for traction on wet grass. I suspect your diesel will be more powerful and have greater torque. I wouldn't think weight would be an issue for you but check on the nose wieght allowed on the car.
