Hopefully this the last Scotland towing question. Morven View at Bowertower is off the B876. Is it best to stay on the A9, A836, B876, or get on the A99, through Wick, then B876?
Don’t know that particular B-road as we came down from JOG to Wick then on down the coast. I’d suggest you ask the site, or the website might recommend the best route.
I prefer the coast road - I think you need to read some Neil Gunn to appreciate the subtle attractions of inland Caithness.
PS - be cautious on the Berrydale Braes as you head up the coast: north of Helmsdale but before the A9 / A99 split. It’s recently been greatly improved for safety reasons, to open out some of the bends. (Lorries used to have to cross over to the oncoming lane, to swing out for the bends.) It remains a steady drop down to sea level & a haul back up the other side, with multiple wide bends. Cracking views though!
