Hi all I have a mazda bongo campervan and wish to use it as a tow car for my caravan what are the rules as I will only use it as a towcar

your kerb weight is 1750kgs, as an inexperienced tower it is recommended that you tow less than 85% of that so your looking at 1487kgs or below. that is the fully loaded (mptml) weight but you would need to put it on a weighbridge due to the adaptions in your bongo to be totally certain, but do not exceed 3490 kg this is the gross train weight.

As above, but check your chassis plate (ususally on the door pillar) for the correct weights to be sure.

The Bongo will most likely be a Japanese import and not have the weight information on the chassis plate. I know my sister's one doesn't.
