i would be heading up to aberdeen and then to elgin - inverness and then down the loch to the campsite give yourself a lot of time! its a long hard drive
It’s mostly single track with passing places & humpy bumpy bendy once you’re Loch-side.
I’d go back west to the A9 at Perth & up to Inverness, but there are many ways to skin the proverbial cat.
The road from the Inverness is best but by no means brilliant. The road from Fort William is do able, quite scenic, there is a steepish hill and single track road but there is not a lot of traffic on it.
As well is two words!
