In my car there is a gauge, in the settings, it also tells you the min and max and how many miles before a refill has to be made. Using a bottle it is a bit hit or miss but the gauge tells you how full the tank is. Generally I have to move to car a bit to activate the gauge to show the new level.

Is there a guage for adblue, or is it just guesswork as to amount needed?
Our Sorento shows the amount of Adblue as a blue bar between full and empty, on the same readout as the digital speed, miles travelled, fuel used, mpg etc, on the last screen, controlled by one of the little toggle switches on the right of the steering wheel. There's no actual amount or miles till empty, just gives you an idea. We too find the new level isn't displayed until you've driven a short distance.
No gauge on my Berlingo. Current model uses about 1litre/500miles which is double what my previous model Berlingo used. I was told by Cit workshop to run it until warning light comes on which gives you another 1500miles then put 10litres in. Cheapest I have found adblue recently in UK is about £6.50 for 5litre can with spout included in Home Bargains. Similar price in Leclerc supermarket in France.
