hi all,

still not had chance to enjoy the outdoor life and a few bevys too as not got out with our shelly yet (van named after the inevitable trips to the coast to come yet)

but having probs with electrics on car and towbar connections.............

i have a buzzer to install but no idea of where the wires go it has 5coming out....

1 green,1 orange, 1 grey, 1 white,and a yellow wire

any help here folks??

also doesanyoneknow if i will need a splitcharge as well its an old car and any ideas on where the wirs will go for that sometow shops say i need a wiring kit with a relay but i believe that all that is a few connectors and abit of wire making it all very expensive hey all i want to do is tow her

Hi Paul,
a split relay is advisable if you plan on charging a battery in/for the caravan and also if you want to have the fridge working while you are towing. Even then, you don't have to have one, but you would have to remember to unplug the grey (12S) plug every time you stop and switch the car engine off - otherwise, your car battery will be flattened very rapidly - and then try starting up again!!!
They're not that expensive, and I definitely wouldn't be without one....
All this is of course if you are having twin electric sockets; if only the one socket, that is only for assorted lights, so a relay wouldn't come into it.
