Micheal,

Can't say I've noticed any smoking on take off. Get some smoking on hard acceleration as do most diesals. I have read about this mod on the Pajero forum (see earlier post) but not done it. Tend to leave mechanics well alone. I would be interested to know what effect it has.

Off to a CL in the Trough of Bowland (Lancashire) this afternoon for the weekend so will look out for any smoking.

Cheers

Andy

Hi ,

I have seen a 2.5 litres Pajero, kully kitted out for towing, with all the extras, wondering what the opinion is compared to the 2.8ltre?

My 2.5 Shogun tows well. Have to use the gears on a steep hill, but you do with most cars towing. Suspect the main difference would be in fuel consumption.

Not got one myself, but 2.5 pajero has a timing belt and 2.8 has a timing chain. As you can imagine, a chain is better than a belt. No need for frequent belt changes.
