My Shogun is an N reg swb 2.5 and tows well. Heavy on diesel, about 27 solo & 23 towing. Only had it 6 months so not sure about reliability although it starts easily. It did pop a shock absorber in August so we had to be towed home but the garage did it under the 3 month warranty.

I think the price is about right.

If you have a big heavy caravan the Shogun/Pajero is about the best on the market.

Mine is a 1998 2.8 swb. No problems at all throughout its life and I have 83,000 miles on the clock with plenty of life left in it.

Wish I could say the same about the caravan which is British!!

We've got the 2.8TD Exceed lwb. Brilliant towcar. Between 20-26 mpg towing, depending on how much of a hurry I'm in!!

The swb is in my opinion a bit skittish and not as stable. Price is about right I'd say.

Is that miles or km, bearing in mind they're obliged to change the speedometer to comply with UK laws but not the milometer. If it's km that's about 40,000miles which makes it even better, and if it's straight from Japan they often are VERY low mileage due to their restictions on driving and the fact it's only a small country.

you have to watch when you buy one of these imports as they are blinged up so much you might dazzel other drivers on the road with all that chrome  Parts are expensive for them and some dealers have very bad practices ie getting first year apprentist to work on customers cars and causing damage to them will not name them on here though

Hi Lisa

Have a LWB 2.8TD Pajero  no problems towing our twinaxle--tough as old boots.

Make sure that the oil/oil filter changed every 5000 miles, engine will go for ever.

For parts try www.milneroffroad.com  very competative prices,

Or try the Pajero Owners Club www.pocuk.com you can get all the info you need from this website

Ooh, that was a bit nasty Cas! At least she got there - when mine popped it's shock absorber we were only half way to where we were going, had to be brought home, swap everything over from the caravan to the camper & hitch up the Jazz next day, missed part of our weekend. Would have missed it all if we hadn't still had the camper, and of course got the Jazz to tow it.
