I have had 4 Mondeo's in total 3 of my own (1.8 zetec est, and a TDi est) and 1 company car (2.0l zetec hatch), petrol's were a bit thirsty but the diesel, although an old design engine was great and I would recommend them. Good car with the latest having BMW build quality. I currently have a Focus estate (wife's car) and will replace that with the new Mondeo estate TDCi. (probably)

The problem with rear bushes seems a bit worrying.

What are the symptoms?

the back end gets a little looser than usual , noticeable on a car that handles so well and you will eventually get a knocking from the back end on corners and some rougher road surfaces.

as fathands says its a job you can do yourself , no need to go to "frauds" and get ripped off 500 quid.

its neither here nor there compared to some problems on other cars , Lagunas for instance with a not so smart card for the ignition that regularly leave you well stuffed when they go wrong.
