I have just bought (dont want to sell) an 02 plate xse, with 34000 and full service history for £3800, so look around. might get more than you thought!

Blimey-that seems a lot of car for the money.
Had to have the car & caravan towed off a field today-how embarrassing
We are currently debating whether a 4x4 would be better
Kia Sedona, i have been looking at these. My friend owns one and tows a twin axle beast. He says you cannot tell its on the back! They have a kerbweight of nearly 2200Kg so it will pull anything. As for reliability and space he says it is excellent and has had no trouble with his 2 year old sedona.

Tks for that Graeme, I had a look at the automatic yesterday, not my personal choice, and am waiting on the garage getting a manual one in for me to have a look at and test drive. There are only the 2 of us and our dog , whose a big girl, (the dog that is ) so by pushing the rear seats inwards it gives her a large area to lounge in on long trips with the van. I am still not sure about the reliablility, I dont know enough about them.
Reliability wise if you search the net for kia sedona you will find many reviews - mostly positive with a few negative chucked in. I like you are a bit iffy about reliability - do i spend a bit more and get a seat alhambra - which is allegedly more reliable. Who knows!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you pays your money and takes a chance, as with most things. I have never been fond of those MPVs that have a sloping front and no bonnet as such, I dont like the idea of the huge big dashboard befor you get to the windscreen. Thats just a personal thing with me. Thats why I didnt mind the look of the Sedona as it had a bonnet. What Bailey are you going for ?
Cant decide what Bailey - Like the look of the new ranger series 5, possibly the 6 berth one. Still undecided but they seem to offer the best value for money with decent towing weight and great warranty.

Hi Jerry and Tina
last year we brought a kia Sedona L(pre reg'd 55 plate for £12,495 - from evans halshaw in stourbridge) my husband does the towing and he says it's no problem at all.
I drive it during the week (its a manual) and love the high postition of the drive now. When I drive my husbands C2 it feels like a go cart!
The only bad points I've found are that the handbrake is really low down (which you do get used to) also the removable seats are very heavy. We take the rear 3 out to fit our dogs cages in the back.
It seems it's a bit big for a four seater.
Anyway I've still seen them advertising the 55/06 plates for the sedona but at £12995 for the manual so as it's not too far from worcs. maybe give them a call. They were the cheapest I could find. They also have cheap sorento's but they were a little out of our league!!

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
they weigh about 1800kg empty (sportage) so they are bound to be heavy on fuel! The diesel is much more wallet friendly and depreciates alot slower too. Maybe look for an oil burner instead of your petrol one?
