Hello,

I'm looking for guidance on buying towing mirrows for my car. What are the important points to bear in mind when buying?  Are they all standard or do some have extra features such as tilt and turn? Can they be attached and detached fairly easily?

Any advice appreciated.

Tim

I got some bog standard Milenco, they fit well and won't fall off.

Not perfect, small amount of vibration, but they do the job and didn't cost a fortune.

Get the best you can afford. I have had many different ones over the years and I find that the cheaper ones suffer from bad vibration. The best mirrors I have ever had were by Smat, the weekend model, about £25 each. These fit into the door window and a large rubber band straps under the base of the door and secures the mirror. They were very sturdy with little vibration and have a large mirror area, they can also extend outwards quite a lot.Unfortunately they are now lying redundant in the garage as they won't fit my new car. I have just bought a pair from Milenco that strap onto the door mirrors, £15.50 each. Have just used them for the first time last weekend. They are ok but do vibrate. However I think they will be the best available for my car. You can get used to vibration but the worst time is when its raining, very difficult to see clearly.
