Hi, best move i made, Apart from more room inside, It follows behind better and is a lot more stable. Overtaking lorries etc don't move it about with turbulence and i feel they follow better on corners they are also easier to load level. Downside is it's a bit of a pain to man handle and you have two extra tyres to wear out...

Although I don't actually tow ours, I feel a lot safer with the twin axle. Hubby says he prefers it too, more stabililty and we love the extra room inside !! Although the turning circle is not so good we manage to pull ours on and off the drive and we have managed to turn it round on fields without any great difficulty.
we have just moved up from a single to a twin axle and cant fault it. with the single (hubby towed it) it didnt feel steady and didnt feel stable at all.
but now we have the twin axle i can tow it and it is so steady when being towed and doesnt get rocked like a single when being passed by a lorry. we have a motor mover to help move ours because hubby cannot move it on his own.

Agree with all the above comments we changed last Year and Hubby says it is so much easier to tow, it feels very stable so you tend to get a more comfy journey, as others have said difficult to manhandle though we have a motor mover so no probs well worth having.

If you turn-up at a site with a twin-axle, looking like a wandering tribesman, with your Transit's diesel engine clattering away, then you may well be refused entry.
But arrive looking like a bona fide caravanner and you'll have no problem.
