Yes you can well in our area you can.

one of my customers hired a double cab from a company called Hampson in notts/Lincoln area as they wanted to take some stuff on a trailer to there house in France they wished they had not though as it cost them a fortune on the ferry + the hire of the 4x4.

I am sure if you contacted the Caravan Club they would have a list of companies hiring towcars.

to hire a car with tow bar ?

we got probs with our new tow car  

theres an emergency plan in action for this coming weekend in llandovery...TENT!!

if your stuck i could always drop my van at llandovery around lunch time

on friday and come back and tow your van to the site

then on sunday could do the same drop yours off then pick mine up

I don' think cursing fully covers it!  I had just collected by parents to take them and Little Scamp to Birmingham (from Leeds) for a Don Williams concert at the Symphony Hall on Monday night - I'd paid for the tickets and hotel accommodation for my parents' birthday gifts, and it was supposed to be a nice treat for them, especially as Dad wouldn't have to drive ...... but as silly moo rendered the Disco undrivable we had to take Dad's car - he has Saga insurance, so I can't drive it (no under 55 drivers), so Dad had to drive.  I am still seething with her for spoiling an otherwise fabulous trip. 

Rant over now - sorry folks, I'm just a bit cross!!!
