Hi

we are serial car buyers and have finally found a decent low cost car.... a vauxhall frontera 2.2dti ltd  yr 2000. We had a 52 landrover disco, 52 volvo xc70, 05 vectra sri cdti, but for value and a 2800kg towing limit the frontera is hard to beat.....its very good looking too especially in black.

I tow with a sportage 02, pull 1300kg. I would say a good tow car, but it is heavy on petrol, both with and without a van on the back. Dont know how much you intend to pay, bought mine for £3,900 with service history and 33,000. Book price (dealer PX) for 02 is £3850

i owned a 52 sportage for 2 years 20L SX Very capable 4x4 A little heavy on petrol if you intend racing up and down motorways if not no probs,I traded mine in for a Landrover Disco My favourite of all 4x4s, i actually pulled a Sportage out of the Mud at Billing Aquadrome and His Caravan, but to be fair He Hadn't got very good Tyres.

I liked the car if you get the right price should be ok

Hi we have a 51 sx we have had it  for a year now and are impressed with it   we paid £ 5000  maybe a little steep but we only wanted a white one which was hard to find at the time & travelled a fair way to get it ! .  petrol  usage is ok (2 wheel drive option )  we tow a bailey mosselle 1250kg  and havent had any probs ,  not thinking of changing it for a while yet , . we have always had cars (Astras , Orion ect  but have only ever towed with this kia ) so this is a great way to get into 4x4 s . .

Hi should have a Roller blind, you pull it out and clip it onto a catch each side of the boot, covers the boot space behind rear seats, you can pull the whole thing  out, it drops into catches behind the rear seat, make sure it,s there before you take delivery.

Thanks corrakid I will check on that can't remember seeing one, because we had the back seats down, and I would have remembered.

Hi Dave & Sharon the Sorento is just a little (well a lot)out of my price range at to moment, have had a look at one though WOW.
