Hi everyone

Thanks for all your help on previous queries about Zafira towing and discovery caravan.

I am now in need of all your eyes on all the caravan forecourts around the UK, as I am now in a position to buy a Discovery 100 or 200 as quickly as possible and of course I can't find one anywhere!!

I am busy e-mailing all Bailey website retailers hopefully something comes back from them but will probably be quicker from one of you lovely people out there as my first enquiries received excellent responses.

I would like one up to 2 or 3 years old as the new discovery series 5 are too heavy for my hopeless low tow weight Zafira - can't afford to replace car as well as buy van.

Here's hoping that I will be in my van for 3 weeks in August touring UK!!!

Help me pleeeeeeeeeese

How do I go about checking that there is no finance outstanding on it, or if it has been stolen (prob not) or any other things I should be checking - I am a complete beginner and used to buying from shops

thanks

Hi

Chichester caravans in Bromsgrove had got a couple of discoverys last week but I don't know which ones they were, they were in the used section so i assume they are preowned.

Ask the seller the VIN number and then contact CRIS with the details and they will run a check much the same as HPI on a car (same Co), there is a fee for this but it is only 14.95.

One thing I would say, is don't be hasty and rush, there are a lot of these vans around and even though the one you want is relatively new get it checked out for damp.

Unfortunately not, but there SHOULD be....we can get AA or RAC inspections on cars before we buy them, so the C&CC and CC should consider some similar scheme themselves i think!

Why not contact the seller, tell him your concerns, and see what he suggests? - he has basically stated how much he wants for the caravan, so maybe you could ask for his phone number, have a long chat about the caravan, then if you are interested still take a trip down to view it....if you like the look of it make him an offer there and then! I'm sure if you make a sensible offer he will remove the caravan from ebay and sell it to you there and then.

but do a CRIS check first!

all the best with it.

Hi contact CRIS and pay them £14.95 and they will tell you if there is any outstanding HPi or has been stolen or involved in a major smash. Good luck I have just bought a Discovery 400 from ebay and I love it and it was £1500 under priced .

good luck

Dave
