Hiya' Wayne,
I don't know how long you have had the Clarus but, according to the UK Kia website they don't seem to make such a model. ??
Incidentally, Papa-pip, we have friends who tow with a Kia Carens and they are a great tow truck....... not as big or thirsty as their big brothers but a good 2.0 ltr diesel engine and a good heavy body makes them a sound investment. We are due to change our car at the end of this year, and guess what we are looking at??
Good Luck
Les Wilson.

Thanks Les, they look like a great deal and certainly value for money, in the range we are looking at they are the only Diesel that has all the toys I want!
------------- Still alive and kicking!

Hiya'papa pip,
Anyone contemplating a Carens be wary of the maximum towing capacity - only 1250kgs I believe.
Thanks Prospector, well within the range i need for the old thomson Glennevis which is rated at around 900kg. was in my local tyre center today getting two new tyres and was reading the What Car mag that was lying, they had a list of the top 12 MPV and the carens was 4th which was good as it was rated higher than most of the other MPV's I have on my list. I think that in December I will be getting a Carens from a certain big chap with the white beard!
Papa-pip.
12500kg is often quite enough, We have just changed our Elddis Tornado (1200kg MTPL) for a new Bailey Ranger Series 5 460/4 which is a roomy 4 berth with a max weight of 1184kg. so the Carens will be sound for us.....roll on the end of the year when we get ours.....hope he comes to Yorkshire before he gets up to Scotland incase he only has the one....lol
Regards
Les Wilson.

INCIDENTALY:-
Sorry for keeping this old thread alive but it just accured to me to ask......do any of you know whether the Carens is a front or rear wheel drive. I have received all the bumph from the local dealer and from Kia UK and there is just no mention anywhere of whether it is front or rear wheel.......its big brothers are both, being 4 x 4's so that doesn't help either.
Cheers,
Les Wilson.
