I have just bought a peugeot 407 2.0 hdi 2004 saloon 136 bhp does anyone else use this car has a towcar it looks superb and has the right weight and power to make a good towcar,hope i made the correct decision to buy it.

We have a petrol estate but the max tow in our handbook is 1200kg so not so great. It tows really well though, not sure why the limit is so low.

My old 406 (90bhp) is being replaced next week with the 407 136HDI

It has got to be better, weight is 1580kg but the max nose weight is 65kgs

They were known to suffer poor electrics, warning lights constantly flashing indicating that various bulbs have  faied, also early signs clutch slip. Hope these faults have been rectified in the current batch.

Dont have much choice as its a company car.

Never owned a Peugeot but had the Citroen Xantia with the same engine.

Loads of oooomph.

Best tow car I've ever had
