Checked mine the other day - it starts with a 4, thank goodness

Tipper - have you a shock absorber fitted to your tow bar? - I have only towed a twin axle trailer with my truck as my new van won't be delivered until next March and didn't notice any bobbing due to hard suspension. If you don't, do you feel any difference to towing a caravan than with a car.

Tipper i have checked mine(a 2004 model) the serial numbers are nothing like yours.There doesnt appear to be anything on the Witter website.Are we supposed to contact the towbar fitting companies?

Michal Sorry its Took so Long to Get Back to You Com Went Down no shock absorber fitted as for Does it Tow Better Then a Car i Dont no I have Allways Tow With a 4x4 so Sorry i Cant Answer That one All i Can Say is it Tows very well This is the Second Nissan i have owned with no complaints as yet

Terry I Think i Am Right in Saying Yours Is the Old Shape Nissan Could be Wrong so you Should be all Right I got A letter From Witter to Say mind Was Being Recall So to Be on The Safe Side I Would Take To Your  Towbar Centre to Get it Checked My Towbar Centre Tell me The Reason For The Recall Is Were the Main Cross Tube Meats the Main Tow bar it Should have Been Welded Both Sides [In Side And Out Side] Hope You Know Want i Mean

I have checked with the towbar fitters and they have told me that Witter are writing to everyone affected.They checked my details and i'm Ok, apparently the problem is with 2005 and later models
