We had one fitted to our 03 model Corolla Hatch and bumper didnt need cutting. Towsure list a different model number for their towbars for the Corolla and Corolla Verso so cannot be sure...
Hi, I fitted a towbar to mine. After a lot of research at the time I could not find one that did not require a bumper cut. You can't see the cut though.
I fitted a Witter fixed bar. If you measure the actual size of the cutout required you will find that Witter allow a bit extra on their instructions. I made my cutout 10mm smaller than Witters and it fits around the bar with no gaps showing.
Be prepared to drilll your chassis as well though. Unless they have changed it, you will need to enlarge 2 existing holes.
There are also a lot of extra bolts and brackets to go on underneath, stretching the full width of the car. If you go to Witters website you should be able to download the fitting instructions before you buy one.
That sounds perfect. I've fitted a few tow bars over the years, so it should be o/k. Just one more question. Did you use a plug in electrics kit or did you connect directly into the wiring?
I haven't fitted my bar yet, but the cut out is right underneath the bunper and out of sight. I'm hoping to fit a bumper plate to mine. Will be fitting the towbar when I get home in a couple of weeks.
I noticed that you have another post asking about a Toyota fitted bar. I looked into this and found out that they fit Brink swanneck bars to the Verso. This requires cutting a hole in the center of the bumper for the swanneck to poke through. I don't want a hole in full view in the middle of the bumper, so I didn't persue it any further.
