Hi, does anybody tow with a Suzuki Grand Vitara we are thinking about selling our mazda bongo as we do not need such a large vehicle and replacing it with a vitara 5 door 2 litre petrol or diesel. we have a riva destiny folding camper which has a gross weight of 1000 kg, any info gratefully recieved.

I had a 2litre diesel auto Grand Vitara (2001 model) Sold it end of last season as it didnt seem to have much to spare when towing our Charisma 230. kerb weight and max tow weight arent that good either. I certainly wouldnt go for petrol model, I had one before and only 25mpg solo, wouldnt dare have towed with it!.
