Hiya' Paul.

Never managed to own a BMW but the usual difficulty is because they are a fast 'sporty' car they can be a little High Geared for towing.  (Can't have everything I suppose.)  But with yours being both powerful AND an automatic then I reckon you could have the ideal tow machine.

Good Luck

Les Wilson.

Hi Paul

I tow with a 320d no problems, mind you I haven't towed with anything else.

It pulls a Bailey Ranger 510/4 so not the heaviest van.

Regards

Stuart

My 530d pulls our Adria 5 berth (only a light van) without any hassle what so ever. Could still out accelerate most things on the road with the van on the back! Not that I do that of course, well once (from the lights), boy racer chav, needed showing whats what!

We towed with our 5 series, but it didn't help the automatic gear box.

So we sold it. Now tow with a frontera it's a lot better.Don't get that rocking/jerking feeling that we had when we towed with a car.

Nice cars though, especially automatic kickdown.
