All MPV's do not have a heavy footprint.  My Touran, a small MPV, has a low emission figure which brings the annual road tax down to £135.

This is comparable to, and better than some, conventional cars.  As tax is based on emissions, I cannot see the legality of singling a vehicle out just because it is an MPV.

For example, it is shorter, and no wider, than an estate car, and I don't think the little extra height represents a problem.

Sorry thats been TAX as from this year But they can not work out how they will collect

 i drive a v6 chevy awd astro day van  insurance only 300.00 fully comp a weighs around 2 ton tax is normal as well and looks better than the most  4x4 and at 29 mpg  ant to bad so i wonder  how much i  will have to pay next year

i put this all down to bloody blair   tax tax and tax again
