What about built in LED lighting? - I think saw a tent in blacks that had that built in? - not sure if the cables are built into the seams, it's was battery operated I think.

Yes I saw that reviewed in the CCC magazine this month. Can't remember the make or models though....senior moment happening!
As for Mr Outwell's holiday experiments this year, what he should be doing is a survey of how many campsites are actually going to be able to take his increasingly monster sized tents.....and then experimenting with Tardis technology, so that you can get an 8 berth Vermont XL onto a pitch for a 2 berth backpacker tent, thus leaving a proper fire-safety gap between tents!
I am hoping that they make their bedroom pods truly universal. I have never understood why they were called universal inners because they certainly are not universal and certainly cannot be swapped around.
Out of the whole range they have ( and I like quite a few ), not one of them has the bedroom configuration I would like. It would be really nice if you could choose the internal configuration you wanted and let the universal inners live up to their name. For example, if I was to buy a Montana 12, it would be nice if I could have a 3 x 3 on one side and 4 x 2 on the other. If the pods were truly universal then you should be able to do this. The Montana 6 you could choose between a 3 x 3 or a 4 x 2. This would make them much more flexible and you could buy inners for different circumstances.
I can't imagine this is difficult to do as I know the 3 x 3 fits the Montana 12, its just that the roof and floor hooks for the organizer are in a slightly different place. If they fitted 3 hooks on the floor and roof in various places then the whole universal thing would be great.
Whatever the boss does this year, I suggest he isn't lead by his rather dodgy thermometers. It's been 90 odd degrees for the last few weeks, apparently...
Well I tell you what gang I'm going out there on August 7th to look at 2008 tents. I think me and one of my friends are the first to go from the UK. I'll let you know if I come back excited, rivited or just hungover from there excellent hospitality, (and skint if I go to the Casino in the hotel they put us up in..)
There are rumours on an easy erection tent......Drop one small blue tablet in the tent bag and wait 30 mins, guaranteed to stay up!!

or how about the oppistie, 1 small tablet and it magially folds up and fits neatly back in the bag without causing its owner a hernia or to be the laughing stock of the campsite as every one has seen your knickers as you roll around on it to get the air out! I really must remember that shorts are a must on packing up day!
