Absolutely bucketing it down now. Supposed to be nice weekend especially Sunday - hope so - local town carnival and usually hot for that.
Hi Chris
Can you give us more info on when and where the local town carnival is - the kids would love it!
Also, where is the nearest supermarket from Fforest Fields, and roughly how far?
We took our kids (3, 5 & 10) for the first time a couple of weekends ago. We had rain, wind, rain, frost, wind, rain and more rain. Even so, they loved it, every single minute.
The carnival is on Saturday in the town about 5 miles from where you will be. There is a Co-op there and a Spar - no Tesco's unfortunately! It's been raining this morning but think it'll probably clear up for the weekend. Quite warm though.
Ignore forecasts - enjoy the weekend - dont let it get you down if things dont go to plan straight away - remember we all made a start somewhere and there are always people out there to give you a helping hand and encouragement!!!

Just got back and the weather men got it wrong (again) we got there on friday put the tent up then it started raining and never stopped all night. Then on sat morning it was great no rain for the weekend and even had quite abit of sun,we are so glad we never cancelled because it was a good start to our camping for this year can't wait to get back out there
I am yet to enjoy a dry trip, since buying my tent. Each time we have got soaked, (outside tent of course) but we enjoy the trips. Even in the rain. Doesn't put us off well not yet anyway, last bank holiday peed down on Sunday night so much one tent near us was in a pool of water with ducks swimming around it. Luckily we weren't affected. Our four year old was occupied colouring and playing with cousins, and off to jump in major puddles as soon as they could, they always sleep really well. I can't wait for our first dry trip but I wonder if we will enjoy it as much??
