Fiona trust me i was not trying to say your stupid i'm not that brave! I've been in touch with them and have told them to expect it back on thier doorstep and then they can refund me! I will never use Worl Of Tents again what a Drama!
Parcels sent by Royal Mail CANNOT be tracked unless they are sent via Special Delivery or Recorded Post, they are the only 2 services for inland mail that have tracking numbers
This is an unusual glitch - World of Tents is a retailer who has generally got a very good report on here - maybe you were just unlucky to get inexperienced staff dealing with your transaction.

I Was given a tracking number by a delivering company on 5/7/07. (Good!!! Looks efficient)
Tried to track it via Royal Mail on 6/7/07, no such luck. (Maybe it's in transit)
I recieved a recorded delivery on Sat 7/7/07. (That'll do me, quick!!!!)
On reading the above today 10/7/07, I went back to Royal Mail and typed in the tracking number again. (Yep there it is!)
Delivery made to my local Depot on the 9/7/07. (What a service. It reaches me 2 days before it reaches the depot.)
You really should be more patient & understanding, The strikes & floods have caused major disruption to the postal system. I'm sure World of Tents have done their best to get your goods delivered on time. I myself have received my first negative feedback in 4 years from a buyer who failed to understand the difficultys of the past month that have faced merchants who rely on the Royal Mail for delivery.
Erm, I may sound a little silly here. But how can someone be 76% sure of something??? I can honestly say that i'd never be so specific if someone asked me a question I was unsure of the answer to. I'd never say "i'm 76% sure that i've used Royal Mail to post your item!"

You are right foggers I have used them twice now and found them excellent. While it is fair enough for people to want to vent their dissapointment on web forums, I think we should all remember - "one Swallow does not make a summer"
