The pitches can be a little regimented, but this is generally to accomodate a rule they have of 20ft between units - part of the reason we like them is cos you don't end up crowded in.

Unfortunately this wasn't my experience at the only site we have stayed on.  They were really squeezing them in.  Rather than having them lined up in rows as you'd expect they were all at odd angles so that they could fit more in whilst obeying the rules.  Also because cars don't count we ended up surrounded by cars.  And this was in a small 2m wide tent.  We'd have had no chance of being able to pitch on the alotted space in a bigger tent.  We weren't impressed generally, although we haven't stayed at any other c&cc sites so this may have been a one off.  It was also one of the most expensive sites I've stayed on and the facilities were no better than a lot of much cheaper sites.

Sounds awful - which site were you at?
