The speil says :
Krill Lamps (electronic lightstick) are the ideal replacement for the chemical lightsticks you use once and throw away! Extreme Krill Lamp: Lasting over 50 hours per set of 2 AA batteries, this light has a higher output, measuring at about 10.5 Fl with the 360° angle of viewing. Approximately as bright as a chemical light stick after it has been activated for 1.5 hours. Good for marking and lighting small areas where light is needed in all angles.
I found mine to be perfect for reading in the tent at night, walking to the loo's and such. I think it would be perfect taped to a child, as they are bright enough to see them but not blinding and are waterproof and pretty robust :)
Safety Blinkers are an ideal solution - reusable as they work on batteries, small enough not to get in the way or cause injury and most can be seen up to half a mile away! I use them on my dogs and they definately work (not much difference between dogs and kids!) They can be clipped anywhere and because of there multi colour flashing kids seem to like them for there disco nature!
I bought glowsticks for my 4 year old and took them to France this year. He used to have them around his neck and then in his pod as a night light. Stopped this quickly though as one night he was badly bitten by a mosquito on his face as we were walking back through the campsite after a late night out. I'm convinced that the glowstick attracted it to him.
Husband thinks they are a good decoy though to keep them off us!!!
