I've been camping for years but still managed to spend about £500 on new kit (That does include a new tent though). But we have spent 31 nights camping this year so that is only about £16 a night plus we pay about £12 a night in site fees. That makes it £28 a night for 2 of us this year so if you think about it that way it works out quite cheap. I reckon that I can get away with spending quite a lot of money before I reach the point where it would be cheaper to stay in a hotel!

i would settle for a trailer to spread the gear out, hubby wants a posh cabanon trailer tent. Still cheap holidays though!.

know the feeling we can just fit it all in the MG so when i had to take dad with mne to pick all stuff up we tok mondeo - still struggle for room - trailer has been mentioned but that then gives us even more room for more junk lol

at least now the car is full we cant buy any more

only thing thats saving us from having bikes is the cost of a rack

At the end of every season we always say the same - thats it, don't need any more equipment, but something strange happens in March/April.

I think it has to do with long term withdrawal, wet Sunday afternoons visiting camping shops and longing for the 1st trip.

Always the same though - we could do with one of those, that could be useful, shall we, O go on then. Out comes the plastic and job done.

Is this an addiction!!!

were even more dangerous we buy of the net and ebay so we dont even have to leave the house
