Kelling Heath for Easter - in the tent- so hoping it will warm up a bit - we're geared up for cold nights though - its our puppys first time camping so will probably get him a little coat for night times so he doesn't get too cold when asleep.
you been there before this will be are second vist last time was in may 2004. we like the walks around and near the site.
Either Lakeland Haven (if i can get thru on the phone) or parkfoot in the lake district again lol, we're not good at picking sites and with 2 small ones it's better the devil you know lol. although i'd be very grateful if anyone can point me to a lake district site good for small kids!

It depends what you mean by good for kids. We were at the C&CC site in Eskdale with our then 3 and 5 yr olds last Easter and had a brilliant time. They have a family shower room in addition to the normal showers. They have laundry facilities. There is a small play area and there is a a shallow stream suitable for paddling if the weather is warm enough. Just a couple of minutes walk away is Lil Ratty a narrow guage steam train that will take you to Ravenglass and a short drive up the valley is a roman fort.
It is a bit of a drive as is in the western lake, but is a stunning, peaceful and safe location.
There isn't a clubhouse or entertainment like at a haven site, but like I said at the beginning, it depends on what you mean by good for kids and what your children like to do
Was hoping to get on a meet either with UKCS or Swiftowners club who we also rally with but as yet nothing around with either. Probably leave it till a couple of days before and book a site if the weather has dried up. I know we will be limited on choice but will find something.
hopefully we'l be back long before ,were hopefully off to folkestone as usual for the first week of the season (not a long season there ),anything like last year and the weather will be brilliant
