Hello

Well I am 6ft 2 in my bare feet no cheating with shoes on and I have room to stand up in my Easy Camp Parma 600 which is a 6 berth. But when you are a big lad like me it  is more like a 4 berth.

When I have been to Winfields in Haslingdon there have been several makes of tent  I could stand up in so it is best to go to a place where there are tents on display to walk around in.

Also When I was at Gooutdoors buying my Parma 600 they hd several tents I could stand up in.

Here is a link to one of the big tents i could easily walk around in the main area no headroom problems.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/tents/3138522032388

Hope it helps

Oh and look for a tent with height of 200-205 minimum

The Royal Bordeaux tents have a really good height in the living and bedroom area.

We have found the bedrooms 'short' in lots of the big brand tents, even where they do have living area headroom.

Both our Outdoor Revolution tents have great bedroom length , and excellent living area headroom.

As some have said, it's not height it's length that's a problem    My OH is 6ft 2 and needs a minimum of 210cm long sleeping area to be able to sleep properly so make sure that as well as standing height the inner is long enough, some of them are on the short size.

Frame tents are fine, but probably not what he is looking for, our Elzas has 205cm inner length and OH has to sleep with the inner zip undone and sticks his sleeping bag out the bottom of it!

Personally I'd avoid dome shaped tents, the bedroom inners taper really badly as Alan says.

Well I slept fine in the bedroom pod of my Easy Camp parma 600 and still had room past my feet across the lenght of the tent.  My Aldi single  air bed even fitted me only thing was by the second morning my air bed was deflating.

My OH is 6'4" so we've had to consider both head height and bed pod size when buying tents.   We did have a Coleman Darwin 5 (just traded up to the Vermont) and that was a good size wrt both aspects.  There's even one for sale on this site http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/classads/forsale/view.asp?ad=8-5-14-22037&subj=Coleman+Darwin+5+(Never+Used)

Hi i'm 6' 4" (with me shoes off!!) and have never had any problems with our Wynnster Anglesy 5, loads of headroom in the main dome and plenty of room to lay down and stretch out in the bedrooms. You can get a great deal on the newer version of the Anglesy called the "orion 5" from www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.allweathers.co.uk at £149.00 its a bargain.(also comes in 2 even bigger versions) We have just bought a new Wynnster Cygnus 6 tent from the same outlet for £159.00 and i can even stand up in the bedrooms in this tent! my advice is to shop around and visit dealers that have large displays that you can go into and have a good snoop around (Allweathers even let me try out airbeds in their show tents) and get a feel for what you are going to purchase and "try before you buy"
