I love buying and selling on ebay. Have some camping gear on there at the moment as we are selling our tent and kitchen bits as we are looking at buying a folding camper, which we may very well buy from ebay. There was a lovely one that sold last week about 5 miles from us. I love the buzz of how many people are watching, how many people have viewed it etc. If you do put it on ebay, I wouldn't bother with a reserve, (as this costs extra to do), just start at around the price you are looking for it.
Thanks everyone for the helpful advice, it seems like ebay gets the winning vote by what most of you have to say. I will have to make some time & get it on. We have a manic few weeks coming up as we are getting married 23rd August, but we are camping (maybe for the last time ) on 8th Aug. Could take some good pics then ready for it to go on?
Oh, and I will look into advertising it on her too. Will keep you posted as to whether we are doing another season of camping or giving the caravanning a go! Thanks again.

Hi there, I'm just wondering if anybody could help please? We are hoping to upgrade to a caravn in the next few months ,
What do you mean by 'hoping to upgrade from a tent' exactly????
Are tenters inferior to caravaners then? ...... 'coz I think not!!!!!!
Gosh, I really didn't mean to cause any offence, it was just a matter of speech, and in a way it is an upgrade for us, a caravan has a lot more equipment than we have in our tent. I am obviously still a camper, thoroughly enjoy it but the OH & my little boy fancy a caravan & I'm willing to give it a try so I certainly wouldn't say campers are inferior. I certainly didn't want to offend anybody. Sorry.
Don't worry Claire, it's all meant tongue in cheek! Why don't you keep the Vermont for another season under the "just in case" folder, some people have sold their tents and then not taken to caravanning for various reasons and regretted the sale of a very good tent. A tent like a Vermont would still sell well and you would then have tried a caravan and known it was for you. 'Course if you didn't like the caravan, selling that is another ballgame .... !

Camping, IMHO is done under canvas, the only other way to kip in a field legally is in a TT and this is`nt camping it`s caravanning, but while we both poke fun at each other, no other holiday comes close, and in two weeks me and the Brats will be under canvas in Cornwall, pitched next to someone in a TT who will be gobsmacked by the amount of space we have !!!
I think Angie is actually spot one there. Keep the tent, at least for now. There may be times when you fancy a nylon holiday instead of a tinny one. I love tents but have considered buying a caravan for all the obvious reasons (weather being the main one), now however it looks like it might actaully be a pretty expensive option with fuel prices etc. Even if I did buy a caravan I would still want to go away with the tent occasionally because its just an experience in itself.
But, of course, if you can get good money for the Vermont then why not, maybe you could buy a little weekend tent to fill the gap.
