We just got back from having to pitch in the rain at Newton Mill in Bath. (pitching last wednesday - heavy rain all day) Arrived at the site to the only mildly dry patch of the day to check in and go to our pitch. Just got the footprint groundsheet pegged out and the tent canvas into position and the heavens opened. Luckily only in sandals, shorts and tshirt so it didnt matter I got soaking wet. Also we were very lucky in that a very kind gentleman in the tent next to us rushed out quite quickly to offer asssitance in helping us set up and get the tent up into position.
Lynne and Nea B - you two must have had all our luck weather wise aswell!!! We are into our second season now and there has not been one trip thats been nice weather. We always seem to pick it wrong. Doesnt put us off though, maybe one day we will get lucky with the weather.......
Shorts, t-shirt and crocs would be my reccomendation, once you are wet, you can't get any wetter! Have some clean dry stuff, and a towel accessible so that you can head to the shower block and get warm and into dry clothes once you are done.
If you are heading to South Wales, the forecast for next week is currently pretty good.
