Glad you had a great first trip. A blue builders tarpaulin  from b&q is the cheapest for an extra groundsheet, just fold any excess in under the tent so it doesnt collect any rain between the two.

I always use my utility tent for cooking in. I've tried cooking outside an it's a constant battle with the wind and rain. I've got the stand that flowerpower pictured and it's really good. Glad you enjoyed your first trip. I'm wondering where to go next week for my first trip of the year.

i would use it outside.

The one I saw in Argos has green canvas sides and net front....thought this might be a bit more hygienic with flies etc? £24.99 in the sale.

Also need to get a second ground sheet!

We have one of those although it didnt come with the net front as the picture shows. They are ok but the shelves are made of hardboard and if they get wet they will swell, warp, & rot. I am going to be changing the shelves for some thin marine ply instead

The one shown has metal shelves and ours sits outside out tent behind the windbreak.

You wont need to worry about flies ans you wont be leaving uncovered food out.

Just upgraded from the one in Magnolia's picture. It served us very well indoors as well as out. I got my new one from a garden centre for my birthday, so I gave my old one to a friend, as I don't require two. I was quite sad to see it go.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Camping is ace.

Glad you had a good time for your first trip away.  We've been camping for a number of years now and we are still buying gear!!  I have a kitchen stand that was given to me and I haven't used it yet, we've never been able to fit it in the car.  We have got a roof rack this year so it will go on it's maiden voyage.  I can't wait to go to Abersoch in 2 weeks!

Happy camping Quinnys

We are hoping to have a couple of nights away the weekend after next.  The school holidays are on us now though, so I suppose it will be pretty busy out and about.

I will have a look trough the campsites on here and find something not too far from home.

My main concern is somewhere not too structured..basic even, as I want the dog to have a good time too, without too many restrictions.
